I will dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the novice remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As both boxers participated in the traditional face-off, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
